1. Why It’s Important

In this module, you’ll learn three powerful ways to communicate effectively with parents and set your camp up for success before it even begins.

1. Parent Meeting: You’ll discover how to run a successful pre-camp parent meeting, whether in person or virtually. We’ll even show you a real example you can model. This meeting is your opportunity to build trust, eliminate confusion, and establish yourself as a true professional.  When parents feel informed and confident, they become your biggest allies.

2. Check-In Video: You’ll learn how to prepare parents for a smooth, stress-free check-in process. We’ll walk you through an example video you can replicate, showing parents exactly where to go, what to bring, and how the first day will flow. This simple step eliminates confusion and sets a positive tone from the very first interaction.

3. Parent Information Letter: Finally, we’ll show you how to create a detailed parent letter that acts as a “go-to guide” before and during camp. The letter should include schedules, contact information, emergency procedures, key policies, and a clear overview of what their child will gain from the experience. The more clarity and structure you provide upfront, the smoother your camp will run, and the more your parents will appreciate the organization and care you bring to the program.
